The Homeowner, Architect, and Landscape Architect collaborated on this mountain modern residence built into the hillside overlooking Aspen Mountain and Independence Pass. While built on a small lot, the 4-story home has the feel of a mountainside for its backyard which is suitable for entertaining year-round regardless of season. Outdoor living space is incorporated into the design by expansive glass sliding doors which create a strong sense of connection to the surrounding vistas. The City of Aspen highlights this eco-friendly home for its energy efficiency, green roof, solar panels, ultra-efficient glass, and drought-tolerant planting scheme.
2008 Colorado Homes Home of the Year winner.
